ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Olivia Spencer and I'm a four-year student studying Medical Laboratory Science on a pre-medicine pathway. I have a deep interest in the body and how physical activity, nutrition, and biology interact to keep us healthy. Each week I participate in many activities to stay engaged in what I'm passionate about; I enjoy participating in various sewing projects such as quilting and going to the gym with my friends. 

 

I was born in Lexington, Kentucky alongside both my brother and sister. Yup, I'm a triplet. Consequently, I grew up very competitive and motivated to succeed both academically and socially. I currently work as the Senior Student Associate in the Office of the President where I serve as the team lead during presidential events/meetings, act as the intermediary between student workers and the staff of the office to maintain effective communication, train new student associates, and manage student associate scheduling.

I'm excited to engage in the UHP by diving deeper into my passion for learning, strengthening my skills in communication and collaboration, and developing myself for graduate education. Having the opportunity to work with the faculty in the honors college, enroll in honors seminars, and participate in pre-approved or self-designed experiences significantly helps in my preparation for the future.
